The 2021 Buick Encore’s trim levels
You know you’re looking at a great car when you see the manufacturing putting out the model that’s meant to replace it but the “old” version is still in production two years later. And that’s exactly the case with the 2021 Buick Encore. Meant to be replaced by the Encore GX, the Encore still enjoys a huge following thanks to its reliability and excellent value for money.
Today we look at the Buick Encore’s trim levels. Stripped down to its best renditions, the 2021 Encore comes in only two trims – the Encore Base and the Encore Preferred.
But before we look into what sets them apart, let’s first see what they have in common. And it all starts with what’s under the hood.
Both trims share the same tried-and-true 1.4-liter DOHC 4-cylinder engine. Paired with a responsive 6-speed automatic, it can produce 138 horsepower which is more than enough considering Encore’s petit dimensions. Speaking of which...
Even with those small dimensions in mind, you should know that the Encore boasts a 48.4 maximum cargo space behind the second row which is above average for its class and quite impressive for its size.
And now let’s take a look at Encore’s trims as we begin with...
The 2021 Buick Encore Base
At under $25,000, the Base model comes fitted with front-wheel drive and AWD is available, signature LED daytime running lamps, LED accented tail lamps, both keyless open and start, the StabiliTrak® electronic stability system, 18-in. aluminum wheels with Technical Gray pockets, heated power outside mirrors, roof-mounted side rails, an active noise control system, a leather-wrapped steering wheel with mounted controls, Buick’s latest Infotainment System with an 8-inch color touch, 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot capability, Bluetooth connectivity, a rear vision camera, front bucket seats, SiriusXM satellite radio trial subscription, and OnStar® and Buick Connected Services capability.
Exceptional value for money and we believe that the Preferred trim is even better.
The 2021 Buick Encore Preferred
With everything under the Base model included in the Preferred trim, you also get perks such as Buick’s QuietTuning technology, and both Apple CarPlay and Android Auto capability. But what the Preferred brings to the table is a long list of optional features you can choose from.
Future Buick Preferred models can equip their cars with roof rack cross rails, a power moonroof, remote start, accessory carrier hitch, 18-in. five split-spoke aluminum alloy wheels with Midnight Silver finish, a 120-volt power outlet, all-weather cargo mat and floor mats, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, Side Blind Zone alert, or the Road Trip Package, Active Package, Buick Interior Protection Package, and Safety Package.
Tons of features to choose from and build the perfect Encore rendition to meet all of your needs.
