Trim levels on the 2021 Chevrolet Trailblazer
We’re sure that most of you know by now that the Trailblazer nameplate just got reintroduced by Chevrolet in its lineup of SUVs. But of the old model came from truck roots and was part of the full-size SUV squad, the newest rendition of the Trailblazer is a chic, subcompact crossover that fits between the smaller Trax and the slightly bigger Equinox.
The five-seater comes in five different trims that target a wide range of prospective buyers. Anyone from cost-conscious shoppers to those on the look for a luxury SUV and even off-road enthusiasts can find a Trailblazer trim to meet their needs.
Starting with the base model and moving up, we begin with...
The Trailblazer L
Trailblazer’s basic trim is anything but. With standard features such as a 7.0-inch color touch, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, two USB ports, both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, Chevrolet’s latest Infotainment 3 system, the Teen Driver Pack, and Bluetooth audio streaming, the entry-level Trailblazer is still priced below $20,000.
If that’s not impressive enough, the L trim also comes with standard Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Active Lane Control, Automatic High Beams, Following Distance Indicator, a rear vision camera, and signature LED daytime running lamps.
Under the L trim your Trailblazer will also come standard with a 1.2-liter turbo-3 engine that will belt out 137 horsepower and 162 pound-feet of torque.
The Trailblazer LS
The LS is a trim that makes several different packages available and adds little to the L’s long list of standard features.
With the LS the tires are bumped up to 17-inches from 16 and you get access to All-Wheel Drive or the Driver Confidence and Cruise Package that includes cruise control, Lane Change Alert with Side Blind-Zone Alert, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, and Rear Park Assist.
The Trailblazer LT
One of the most balanced trims on any crossover on the market today is the LT. It includes everything under the L trim, to which it adds perks such as keyless open and start, 17-inch High Gloss Black aluminum wheels, deep-tinted glass, heated, power-adjustable outside mirrors, LED fog lamps, a ten-way, power-adjustable driver’s seat with power lumbar, heated front seats, and cruise control.
It also makes a suite of comfort and safety-enhancing packages available.
The Trailblazer Active
Pushing into luxury territory, the Active is the first trim that comes standard with the Ecotec 1.3-liter turbo-3 engine that delivers 155 horsepower and 174 pound-feet of torque.
Built for off-road enthusiasts, it includes everything under the LT trim and adds a dual-outlet exhaust, a functional skid plate, off-road suspension tuning, sport all-terrain tires, two-tone or solid exterior color combinations, leatherette seat trim, a leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a rear center armrest.
The Trailblazer RS
Also equipped with the Ecotec 1.3-liter, the RS includes all features under the LT trim and adds to them 18-inch High Gloss Black unidimensional aluminum wheels, a flat-bottom leather-wrapped steering wheel, and a red-accented shift knob.
