Chevrolet Tahoe 2021 – Bigger, Better, Bolder
SUVs are getting ridiculously good these days, especially is they're made by Chevrolet. Not only are they fitted with the latest tech, and increasingly more powerful and efficient engines, but they're looking better than ever and they're a dream to drive.
The Chevrolet Tahoe 2021 is larger than it ever was before, roomier, and more comfortable, plus it comes with a ton of standard features that cover everything from safety to connectivity and entertainment.
The first noticeable difference, though, is the SUV’s exterior look. Sleeker and more modern, with the front LED strips cutting into the grille to give it a slender look despite its massive size, the Tahoe 2021 is a head-turner.
It also seems to be very aware of its dimensions and strength and you’ll definitely feel in command of the road behind its wheel.
Two available V-8s with a turbodiesel on the way
With a vehicle this big nothing short of a V-8 would cut it and Chevrolet lets you pick one in two options. First is the standard 5.3-liter V08 that will belt out 355 horsepower and 383 pound-feet of torque, enough to tow upwards of 8,400 pounds, or about the equivalent of two Tesla Model Ss.
The second V-8 is reserved for the top trim only, the High Country and it’s a massive 6.2-liter that will produce 420 horsepower and 460 pound-feet of torque. Pretty much all the power you need in any imaginable scenario. Need to tow a boat? Done! A trailer? Easy...
On top of the V-8s, Chevrolet has announced a turbodiesel to be introduced later this year. It's a 3.0-liter inline-6 that will put out 277 horsepower and an impressive 460 pound-feet of torque which will come in handy for any towing job.
Unparalleled safety and roominess
The 2021 Tahoe is larger than the previous model and that’s mostly felt in the third row and cargo capacity.
With all seats up, the Tahoe has 25.5 cubic feet of cargo space, but when you fold the second and third rows, you get a whopping 122.9 cubic feet of cargo space, which is enough to furnish a whole house from Ikea in a single trip.
Safety features also come by the truckload with Automated Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Automatic Headlights, Rear-seat Reminder, and Parking Alert all standard.
An impressive list of standard features
The 2021 Tahoe will come equipped with tons of perks such as a massive 10.2-inch color touch, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, plus both Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
The details for the base model are yet to be released but we know how the LT trim will look like. Right in the middle of the range, the LT comes with ten-way power-adjustable and heated front seats, keyless access and ignition, wireless smartphone charging, a nine-speaker BOSE premium sound system, a leather-wrapped steering wheel plus leather-trimmed front seats, and two USB ports for every row of seats, six in all.
There’s never been a better Tahoe and few other full-sized SUVs can compare. The 2021 Tahoe looks the part, comes equipped with strong, reliable engines, and boasts a plethora of standard features that cover everything from safety to entertainment.
