The Chevrolet Traverse
One step up the ladder and you’ll find
the Chevrolet Traverse. We’re now talking about a full-sized crossover with upgraded features, a great choice for a family vehicle.
The first thing you notice about the Traverse is its masculine take on style. The outside is conservative to the point of almost being robust, but the interior is a different story. It’s got a stylish look and feel and you’ll be smothered in comfort. The roominess of the interior portrays the vehicle’s American roots as you can sit up to 7 adults inside without too much fuss. The front and the second row are exceptionally comfortable, with supportive sits that will make even the longest of commutes bearable.
The standard engine is a 3.6-liter V-6 with 310 horsepower and 266 pound-feet of torque. It’s an improvement on the previous year’s powertrain both in terms of HP and fuel economy. You’ll get 18 miles per gallon inside the city limits from it and 27 on the highway for front-wheel drive and 17/25 for the all-wheel-drive version.
Like any Chevrolet, the Traverse comes with a 7-inch touchscreen that can be upgraded to an 8-inch one that will give you access to the MyLink infotainment system. Also as standard options, you'll find a rearview camera, 6 USB ports to charge your phones, complete smart-phone integration through Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, HID headlights with LED running light, keyless ignition, and 18-inch wheels. A lot of features and you can add a ton more, especially safety-related, with higher trim levels.
