GMC Acadia Trim Levels SLE vs SLT
The modern crossover is one of the best cars ever built. With all manufacturers fighting to get a bigger piece of the booming crossover market, prospective buyers are spoiled for choice. Every new model is bursting with options, and that’s especially true when it comes down to luxury crossover SUVs.
It is so good in fact that we believe most buyers won’t spring for the higher-level trims since the medium trims are so prodigal with their features.
The standard powertrain is a very reliable 2.5-liter engine that can produce 193 horsepower and 188 pound-feet of torque. It’s paired with a brand-new 9-speed automatic that comes to replace the 6-speed transmission on the old model and will offer future owners plenty of power both on long commutes and inside city limits.
The SLT comes with an engine upgrade in the form of a brand-new turbocharged 2.0-liter 4-cylinder engine capable of delivering an impressive 237 horsepower and 258 pound-feet of torque. The extra torque especially will contribute to an increase in towing power and it makes the SLT Acadia highly responsive and capable in any scenario.
For off-road enthusiasts, GMC created the AT4 trim that can be fitted with a 3.6-liter V-6 that will belt out 310 horsepower and 271 pound-feet of torque so you can go cross-country with your luxury SUV without breaking a sweat.
Even the base Acadia model comes loaded with options and so the SLE serves as an intermediary trim that offers access to a few extra options like the available All-Wheel Drive, wireless charging, and an extra cargo package.
To these, the SLE adds all the standard features of the SLT trim like LED headlamps, automatic start and stop, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, tri-zone automatic climate control, an 8.0-inch color touch, keyless open and start, heated power outside mirrors, rear-seat reminder, plus deep-tinted glass. It also comes with 18-inch aluminum wheels, Lane Change Alert with Side Blind Zone Alert, Rear Cross-Traffic Alert, the StabiliTrak electronic stability control, and the Teen Driver pack.
A step up is the SLT which is precisely the middle trim for the Acadia, above the SL and SLE but below the AT4 and the Denali.
All future SLT owners can expect perks like an 8-speaker Bose state-of-the-art audio system, a dual-outlet exhaust, an eight-way power driver's seat with lumbar support, a hands-free programmable liftgate, HD and satellite radio, heated front seats, LED fog lamps, an universal home remote, in-built navigation, and remote start.
It’s our opinion that the 2020 GMC Acadia is one of the best luxury SUVs on the market. Come see what the fuss is all about, we have the model in all trim levels and most available colors already on display.
This year GMC decided to redesign theirs, and so the Acadia got a complete makeover. The result is one of the best SUVs to have ever been created, a vehicle that’s not only exceptionally comfortable, powerful, and refined but has a fair price to boot.
It is so good in fact that we believe most buyers won’t spring for the higher-level trims since the medium trims are so prodigal with their features.
Before we look at the SLE and SLT, Acadia’s second- and third-level trims, let’s see what’s under the hood.
Plenty of power and plenty of options

SLE Vs SLT a case of great and even better
Even the base Acadia model comes loaded with options and so the SLE serves as an intermediary trim that offers access to a few extra options like the available All-Wheel Drive, wireless charging, and an extra cargo package.
To these, the SLE adds all the standard features of the SLT trim like LED headlamps, automatic start and stop, a 4G LTE Wi-Fi hotspot, tri-zone automatic climate control, an 8.0-inch color touch, keyless open and start, heated power outside mirrors, rear-seat reminder, plus deep-tinted glass. A step up is the SLT which is precisely the middle trim for the Acadia, above the SL and SLE but below the AT4 and the Denali.
The SLT Acadia is one of the most well-equipped and decently-priced luxury crossovers on the market. On top of every SLE feature, it adds quite a few premium options to create a well-rounded, borderline lavish vehicle.
Very little you can add on top of that.
